Baked Bean Sausage Rolls PDF Print E-mail

This is a variation on the classic sausage roll and what child doesn't like baked beans!

BAKED BEAN SAUSAGE ROLLS

  • 350g sausage mince
  • 1/2 cup baked beans
  • sea salt and cracked black pepper
  • 1/4 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 2 sheets ready-rolled puff pastry
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • tomato sauce to serve

 

Preheat the oven to 200C (390F). Place the mince, beans, salt, pepper, worcestershire sauce and tomato sauce in a bowl and mix well to combine. Cut each pastry sheet into four pieces, place 2 tablespoons of mixture along the centre of each pastry piece. Brush the edges with egg and roll to enclose the filling, making sure the seam is on the bottom. Brush the tops with the remaining egg. Trim the edges of he sausage rolls and place on a baking tray. Bake for 20 minutes or until puffed and golden. Serve with tomato sauce. Serves 4.
