It is easy to register with KiwiOz! 1. CV and cover letter: E-mail us your CV, ensuring your work history and dates of employment are outlined. Include a cover letter stating where you are from, where you want to work and how long you will be available for (keep in mind most of our positions require a 12 month commitment).
2. Register: If you are a suitable applicant eligible to work in your chosen area one of our consultants will either:
a) call you to arrange a face to face interview (we have offices based in London and Auckland) or
b) send you a registration pack via e-mail.
3. Paperwork: We require our nannies to hold a suitable visa, police check and first aid certificate. If you don't currently hold these documents we can help you apply.
4. Apply for jobs: Once we have all of the required documents we can discuss jobs with you and send your details through to any of the roles you are interested in. The parents will then let us know if they would like to interview you.
5. Interviews: In most cases you will go to the family home to have an interview. If you are not in your destination country yet we can organise a phone interview. Usually parents will select top applicants to second interview or trial.
6. Job offer: If you are offered a job we can advise you on the suitability of the offer based on both your experience and the current market rates. We provide the parents with a sample contract which they can complete to outline your full responsibilities, pay and holiday allowances.
7. Trial period: There is usually a trial period of up to 3 months when either party can give limited notice should they feel the person/ role is not right for them. After the trial period it is normal for either party to have 4-6 weeks notice to terminate the contract.
8. Social network: We run an active social network and can put you in touch with local nannies. We also have regular nanny meets to keep in touch with our nannies and meet new people.
