Many nanny employers discuss salaries in terms of 'net' or after tax rates. For example, if you are offered a live in position at £300 net per week, tax and national insurance is due on top of that amount.
It is a legal requirement that your employer organises your tax and national insurance.
You should receive weekly or monthly pay slips from your employer which outline how much tax and NI has been paid to the Inland Revenue on your behalf.
If you have any questions about this please don't hesitate to contact your KiwiOz consultant.
