Sick pay
Statutory sick pay is due if you are ill for more than three working days in a row. The first three days are normally paid at the standard rate, however this is at the discretion of the employer.

Maternity pay
If you become pregnant it is likely that you will be entitled to Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP), even if you leave your employment before your period of maternity leave begins. Your employer can reclaim most of SMP paid through their nanny PAYE company.
