Nannies forced to prove worth PDF Print E-mail

Recent reports in the media have confirmed that the strong market position nannies have held over the last few years has finally come to an end.

The annual Nannytax wages survey, released in Jan 2009, has reported that nanny salaries in London have decreased in the last 12 months, showing employers are in a strong position with every job opening attracting a number of suitable candidates.

Nannies are reporting fewer jobs available on the market, and as a result many nannies are approaching us for advice on how to get the ‘edge’ on other candidates in an increasingly competitive market.

We see this as a positive result for both employers and nannies- more competition means standards are going up and nannies are once again having to seriously consider the benefits they can offer and how they can implement those benefits in their day to day work.
