Bringing The Villages Back To The City

Whether you are new to the area or are an established resident you will find The Parents’ Directory a very useful source of family information.

London is a city which has grown out of the amalgamation of hundreds of villages over the last 500 years. Our objective is to return the villages to you and help you to find goods and services for your family and to have fun with your children in your local area.

We have three directories covering Central London, North West London and South West London. These are generally fashionable areas to live in and therefore full of interesting shops and fun things to do. In due course we will be bringing you directories for the other area which by popular demand we are researching in great detail. These include South East London and West London.

We combine our own in depth local research with active bush telegraph to produce a directory of both the essential and the frivolous. New to the directory is our Time For Tea a review of the local park cafés for you to try out, over a hopefully long hot summer. To help you with your different choices of which school, we have also produced our Schools Open Days Calendar so that you can plan your visits more easily.

Also why not sign up to our free monthly e-newsletter to receive the latest news on shows, theatres, literacy and arts events. Simply enter your email address below.

Last but not least please enter your children for our Art Competition, the winner of which will receive a prize and be the design for our Spring 2009 Parents’ Directory cover. Plus there are lots of great prizes for the six runner ups.

Anyone's child can participate if they are between the ages of 4-12 years. Just print out an entry form and send in your artwork. Entries should have a 'London in Spring' theme, and be A4 in size. Children can use any media they wish, including paints, crayons, felt tips or collage etc. Get your children to think of their favourite London landmarks, museums or parks.

Entries must be in by the 1st of February 2009, so why not get your budding artists to work on their drawing over the Christmas holidays.
